  • Medium body, strong smell of black paper and clove. Some chocolate and tobacco leaves. I think drinking window is wrong as this wine should last a few more years (2020?). At the $12 I paid for it, the QPR is excellent.

  • Carmenere 93%, Malbec 5%, Petit Verdot 2% _ Very interesting hazy fuzzy nose of wall paper, bread yeast, saw dust, game, blackcurrant, vitamin pills, hospital room. Very attractive transparent dense garnet. Medium+ bodied. Hazy initial palate leads to acid finish with red berries and some menthol but in time everything gets smooth and round, while still retaining power and bitterness. Medium finish. Next day it got better. More pleasant sweetness and richness came through, some coffee too. Its peculiar aroma is not for everybody, so some may hate this wine. On the 3rd day it got a little better again. Softer, and buttery finish. For the price I paid ($14), it's a well made wine.
