Nice colour, transparent but deep ruby. Medium intensity and complexity nose, with bacon fat, mushroom, and bright red fruit. Refreshing acid and light in body, with bright red fruits (cherry, raspberry) that fade to yield a spiced mid-palate before fading into a bacon smoke finish that turns to leather as the back end tannins come on. Medium complexity of flavours, with a low intensity but lingering finish. Earth tones dominate the fruit, and would make a nice food wine (dark poultry). Decent value, and good balance, just toward earth/spice rather than fruit.

I haven't had a Pinot Noir in a long time, this one was quite lovely. Well balanced, light, elegant. Maybe too elegant for my tastes.

Light for a Pinot Noir in a pleasant way. Excellent with Copper River salmon.
