  Opened the bottle and immediately get an aroma of dark fruits from stewed plumbs to blackberries. Has a very deep red to purple color, the bottom of the cork had an impressive indigo/purple coloring. I want to say that I get a little bit of iodine, but that may be olive, which I found interesting and will be the reason I will likely try this again. Acidity and tannin seemed to be low to medium and took a back seat to the fruit. A good amount of sediment at the bottom of the bottle.
