  • So bottom line I drank 3 of my 4 bottles too early. I opened the last one yesterday and it is a totally different experience! My wife used to call this wine "sweaty gym socks" because of all the funk. Now we have a settled down crisp apple and melon very lush and aromatic experience! Same thing honestly with the fancy bottling called "Müller" -- it has matured into something much more engaging. Not necessarily ordinary or accessible but comprehensible...

  • Took about 1.5 h to really hit its stride. Now at room temp. Salty pineapple with orange zest aromas, mixed with jasmine. Palate is similar with salted pineapples, some oranges, unripe mango, jasmine and other floral flavors. Hint of dry cider and mild tannins on the back end. Not as much minerals as the previous bottle but still this is complex, different and enjoyable.

  • Tea-like aromatics with bergamotte, grapefruit and chalky mineral flavours. No funk or brett. Light-bodied with low alcohol and laid-back balance. A highly individual and memorable wine, yet easy-drinking and certainly refreshing at around 10 degrees C. Enough of development, we'll finish the remaining bottle this year.

  • Decanted for 2 h. Initially, it was all about salty minerals and tart orange peels. Now, lemon oil with pine resin notes in the aromas. Palate has orange peel, notes of pine resin, grapefruit pith with a slightly tannic edge, leading into a more saline minerally lemon oil finish. I think this has some skin contact - the slightly tannic mouthfeel with that piney slightly bitter grapefruit pith reminds me of other skin contact whites. On D3 - more rounded and balanced with fruit playing off the tannins and minerals. Best of the 3 days tasted. Probably should have gotten more to age for a bit.

  • these would be quite enjoyable wines, but the Brett was just too much for me. Seems to be varying levels per bottle but they all were infected. Those who find it tolerable will fare much better.
