I was nervous after reading of the bottle variation that seems to be an issue with this wine, but this was definitely a good bottle. Translucent red/crimson in the glass with a nose of raspberries, thyme, wet stone, and cranberry. Palate was raspberry/cranberry with cracked black pepper and wonderful minerality. Truly delicious.

Flavors: Plums, iodine, tar, tart cherries, cola. Well balanced acidity with a mineral backbone. I really like this Pinot, especially at the $27 I have been paying to pick this up from a retailer's discount bin.

Very nice Pinot, expressive with classic cherry and cola flavors, mineral almost chalky, very smooth and balanced especially on day two when it was still drinking quite well. We really enjoyed this one and upon reading the other tasting notes I almost wonder if I was drinking a different wine, but I double checked the bottle just to be sure. Sounds like a very high level of bottle variation with this wine.

2004 Rosella's Vineyard Pinot Noir Horizontal (Drew's House): Bottle decanted for 1-1.5 hr. This wine exhibited a dark ruby color with a nose filled with black cherries and black raspberries with hints of black licorice, brown sugar, and a floral element. Again... another wine with the palate not matching the nose. Flavors were a bit on the dull side with bits of black cherries and raspberries with a moderate finish. HS88
