  • New worldish, well-balanced, varietally-correct, non-spoofed Cab. Just a hint of herbal Cab character. When first opened, seemed slightly candied, but after an hour or so I didn't get that anymore. Better on the second night after vacuvin'ing and refrigerating. Nothing profound here, but a well-made Cab. Not much in common here with heavily oaked and uber-ripened Napa Cabs, so if that's what you're hoping for, you may be disappointed. Note also that this is from Happy Canyon in Santa Barbara, not Paso Robles.
