This bottle was very different than the one opened in the fall. Popped and poured, it was rather light and surperficial. Will open another one before the weather changes to see where this really is. (89?)

Noval VP mini-vertical (P81): Dense dark plum fruit with lots of structure and acidity. Medicine and coffee dominate and a compact sweetness! Impressive but young.

This continues to impress and defy my early impressions of a light, early drinking port. Very savory and masculine, this puppy is barely scratching at its full potential. Anis, ink, tobacco and dark fruits are the flavor elements. The nose is youthful and devine. Serious. Big tannins on the full finish. Should continue to drink well for years - only concern is whether the fruit will hold up. A very stern style of port. (93+?)

Very nice balance of dark chocolate, raisins, leather and lithe deep earth tones. LOVELY
