Tasted blind. Very aromatic and fruity nose with quince and herbal notes, like a GruVe Smaragdt. Good aromatic complexity, a bit too rich for my palate.

A really pleasant, well-crafted, unoaked, 100% Chardonnay. Interestingly, the producer's website says that it does not go through malolactic fermentation. It does, however, present a pleasant, creamy buttery note. Also shows ripe apple, lemon custard, wet stone. Its weight and intensity is perhaps due to 6 months aging on the lees. Well balanced, with medium (+) acidity and alcohol. Drinking well now and through at least 2020.
