Winferno in Umeå (Stöcksjö, Umeå): Blind guess: 2014 Chard Bgn. Beautifully oaked with a citrus-enameled nose, including green pine soap of yore (grön såpa in Swedish). In the mouth this is beautifully balanced and the citrus and pine soap follow suit.
Wine of the night with 8/9 votes.

This punches so far above its St. Aubin weight, with dense yellow fruits and real depth. Some reduction and still quite young, this takes some time to open up. Better still in 5 years.

Absolutely stellar!!! WOTN in quite a nice line up. PYCM as it should be. Has years of life ahead. Can’t see this improving much more though. Go for it.

Mrbuzz note captures the wine beautifully. It was really subtle and absolutely delicious. I would think slight improvement possible but this wine was drinking beautifully last night, Bravo Pierre Yves Colin Morey!

Match strike reduction at first...creamy white peach, melon, lime fruits...somewhat limpid, and lacking the intensity you get in the more prestigious address of PYCM wines...pretty calm and creamy, yet does have enough crushed rock minerality and lemon/lime cut to please. Plenty of pretty white flower and lime blossom floral...nuanced spearmint...finishes med length with fresh squeezed citrus, chalk dust, and a little vanilla bean spice. Kind of dig the subtleness in this wine? A satisfying PYCM...just wish they were under $50 like they use to be!
