Friday gathering prior lockdown again: Bottle breathe for 2.5 hours, plus another 1.5 to 2 hours as we pushed this back to the second flight. Nose is not as expressive as CSJ and Latricieres but still cherry and violet aroma. Palate is smooth fruit and flower, with some complexity but still young. Not fully opened - we needed to decant it for another 30 min to open up. Medium finishing. Still early days to drink now. Suggest to wait for a few years.

Post Musique et Vin Festival Concert Dinners (Château du Clos de Vougeot): Small glass, brief note. So much red fruit with so much concentration. Long and powerful, with iron and mineral flecked finish. Still slightly firm right now, this is better to cellar for another decade, with mid-90s potential.

Domaine Fourrier Cellar Visit and Tasting (Gevrey-Chambertin): Barrel tasting at the domaine. All red fruit with nuanced spice. Good definition, while this is a weightless beauty. Amazing given that this is only Jean-Marie's 2nd year making Amoureuses. 93-95 point potential.
