Opened in Hong Kong. DRC Assortment Tasting. Slow-oxed for a few hours before serving.
Perhaps the most explosive nose of the entire line-up of reds. Stemmy aromatics with red fruit just wafting from the glass, but this also evolved with a bit of air and put on a bit of weight - the darker fruits started coming out. There were even intriguing hints of orange peel, which added a different dimension to the nose and gave it more freshness. Powerful and very Vosne-spice heavy on the palate, but in a balanced and pleasant way. Wonderful young La Tache.
Surprisingly drinkable now with air; otherwise I think there's some upside to be had. Excited to revisit in 3+ years to see where this is at.

Drank at the end of the night (what a waste!) — but this was every bit as good as I remembered it. Pure class!

Gorgeous and finessed spice and red fruit. Fresh and youthful but very open and elegant. In a really nice place.

Elegant floral aromatics, stems present. Lightness, carefree feel to palate. Ultra red fruited. (14982/23158)

Incredible and intense wine with structure that can last forever. It's just 2014 is a bit close down and it shall benefit with a lot of air.
