Bright blackberry hue. Berries, spice and vanilla on the nose. Dark fruit flavors and oak in a fairly complex flavor. Rather short tannic finish. The slightly hot alcoholic nose was non-existent after decanting. Very good for a $17.00 Oregon Pinot!
This pinot noir went very well with a dinner of BBQ'd salmon (with brown sugar glaze) and tossed salad greens. It also had no trouble transitioning to a dessert of german chocolate cake!
