First sip and the comparison to port is certainly there. That said the real resemblance to me is the similarity with Two Hands Zippys Block, also displaying black raisin shiny (you can literally see your reflection easily) alcohol.
The alcohol does pack some heat, but with purpose, like a jet afterburner.
Several guests universally loved it.

Here we go, Chris Ringland, 17.5% alcohol, enough said, we are not talking Volnay here... I am not a fan of this high octane wine but let me try to objectively describe it. Dark purple. Nose of dark fruit, dried fruit, some tones of torrefaction and oak, no oxidative notes which is very commendable given the late harvest of such wines. On the palate this is sweet of course given the high alcohol but there is also acidity, tannins are mild. Not a bad, brute force kine of wine at all, but then again a shot put player will never win a ballet contest. If you don't mind mass, give this a go.
