  • For a 21 year old bottle of relatively cheap, mass produced plonk, I was pleasantly surprised by how good this was. Found this bottle in the back of my cellar looking for something to cook with. Once I opened it up, it was actually still very drinkable... Ruddy crimson/brick in color. Aromas of red fruits, plums, and spice. Maybe a little cigar box? There was actually a bit of tannin left in it. The Wine held together for about 30 mins before falling apart. It was no competition next to the 97 Vineyard 29 I had originally opened for this, but an enjoyable experience nonetheless.
