Similar to last time (almost 5 years ago!), but a lot more savory. The peppery black fruit mostly shows up later, just before and through the finish. Best with food, or maybe a cigar.

Nearly black with a few ruby highlights. Cassis, crushed blueberries, violets, and spice nose. Medium to full bodied, tart blackberries, solid but not overwhelming tannins, dirty black cherries, pepper, a bit of heat, and a long dry finish. Very approachable and enjoyable for a relatively young PS.

Inky dark purple. Smooth and fruity up front, tannins came in hard on the back. Finish was surprisingly long. Think this needed a couple more years (or more) to really come together, but very tasty and was delicious with a decant and food. My last bottle, wish I had more to see how it evolved.

Fruity, brambly, and still a nice PS.

Tasty...vanilla, brambleberry, not a whole lot of tannin remaining, and some herbaceous savoury elements. Tasty on day 2 as well.
