Absolutely fabulous now. Fair development on the nose, with hints of petrol in the blue-slate signature aromas. There's freshly pressed lime as well as sunripe tropical fruits. Flavourwise very expressive and perfectly focused, with juicy acidity, creamy/leesy texture, and all 32 grams of residual sugar perceived as only slightly off-dry thanks to the textbook Saar salinity. Everybody just loved it as an apéritif. WOTN.

Okay, it didn't take any 4-5 years ;) The residual sugar is actually perfectly integrated already. Extrovert, lovely aromas of fresh basil, wet slate, green apple, orange and grapefruit. Great energy and tension on the palate. Juicy fruit, high linear acidity and salty minerality counterbalancing the unremarkable sweetness. Pure energy drink, super enjoyable.

In comparison to their entry level "Alt-Scheidt", this is a little sweeter, less acidic, more full-bodied. Darker nose, slightly tangy. Crowd-pleaser, too. 50+4+12+17+8=91

With 32 g/l residual, this feinherb offers beautiful ripe fruit flavours from the favourable southeastern tip of Ayler Kupp. It has the acidity to balance, but ultimately needs 4-5 years to integrate the sweetness to perfection.

Regular dinner group (By PvD @ Fitzgerald): Elegant petrol, soft tropical fruits and a beautiful play between acidity and sweetness. Beautiful wine.
