This is still really good. Tasted best on the third (and last) day of it being open. Just this one bottle from a friendly priced auction lot. Wasn't expecting much but got rewarded with a Bordeaux rich in tertiary notes, more forest floor than berry on the nose, and more berry than forest floor on the palate. Tannins integrated, structure solid, medium bodied, somewhat dark and brooding, becoming more smooth each of the three evenings. Kudos to the producer.

Found a bottle in my cellar and popped it today. Still tasty! Took a little while to open up. The tannins have pretty much mellowed out, and it's not very chewy, but some nice fruit is still, surprisingly, evident, with leather notes. Not a huge wine but reasonable body, and a moderate finish. This is definitely somewhat past its peak but still enjoyable. I would drink up.

Drank at the mountain cabin, where the glasse are really to small, but anyway.... this was really a pleasant experience. The nose really open with lots of pencil, leather and still, a lot of Bl.C fruits. Follows up on the palate. Not full, but has a beautyful balance of wood and friut, that really made it go well with the reindeer. Bought at Systembolaget, a real bargain for a well made mature Bordeaux at its peak. Drink soon...

Still excellent mature wine. Delicate, well balanced. On line with my previous note.
