Lemon and a note of earthy spice on the nose. On the palate, yellow apple, pear, white peach, and notes of lemon and cedar on the medium finish, with good acidity. The oaky cedar faded with time, and this was better the second day, so it should improve given a few more years. As a Chassagne Montrachet this could be considered an underperformer, but since it cost only $45 it was a good value nonetheless.
