Magnificent complex nose where floral aromas, smoke, citrus fruits and chalk intertwine.

Energetic mouth on sweet spices, wet stone and white flowers. Magnificent balance with a filigree acidity that brings this racy wine to life. Very discreet bubbles The wine is vaporous but develops an undeniable presence; it stretches in the mouth until a magnificent finish with beautiful grapefruit bitterness which then gives way to a beautiful saline length.

Excellent champagne which impressed me with the character, complexity and energy it exudes.

  • Spectacular champagne. Precise bubbles, lush texture from extended lees, bright, slightly oxidative grip. Robust. Not elegant, it's true power, with a lot to say.

  • Moved from the cellar to a regular refrigerator for a while and then popped and poured. This is a shimmering, light yellow wine with a fine bead. On the nose, I get bread yeast, lemon, and an array of freshly cut apple scents. In the mouth, this is pure and focused; the flavors flow through on the edge of a fine scalpel, displaying yellow fruits with rapier acidity. The finish is crisp and lingering, with a subtle hint of brown sugar. Overall, this is very fine (and refined) indeed; it’s a slightly austere Brut Nature Champs, but one filled with character and quality. Happy to have more bottles. 92 points.

  • Unico + BBQ Makes for Quite the Night (Los Olivos, CA): My first encounter with this and I was super-impressed. The wine gave a off such a high-energy feel, with loads of concentrated and complex brioche, citrus, mineral and saline notes, complemented by a sort of smokiness I really liked.
