"lightly" corked... which is like saying slightly pregnant. Despite this, there was so much fragrance, I hoped the taste might overuse the nose.
But, not to be. I drank some of it. The light and transparent color is beginning to show signs of garnet, and the fruit has given way to a bit too much acid - the aftertaste more bitter than tart.
Unrated. I hope my remaining bottles fare better.

My first encounter with this (new) vintage - a lighter - more red fruited rendition of the wine. The light touch, very typical of McHenry; the flavors all coming from a narrow bandwidth less so (i.e., no earthiness, and certainly no dark fruit notes).
My sense is that this vintage will give more in its youth. It did tonight.
Rated 1 on a scale of -1 to 3.

Light bodied pinot. Strawberry notes. Not much complexity.

A light Pinot that nonetheless provides the typical California Pinot flavor profile.
