I was given this wine as a gift, when I looked up this wine I was stoked because of nothing more then the price. Well this doesn’t live up to it’s price. This is decent California Pinot, there are many out there that are better. I can’t get past the price for this wine to review it properly. I would never pay full retail for this wine. Sorry
If this was priced at 30$ I would give it 90+ points.

Decanted for approximately 2+ hours. Vibrant and flavorful, if just a little one-note, full of high-toned red berry fruits; strawberry, raspberry tart, and a bit of alcohol. Went down very smoothly, with nice acidity and texture.
A fun wine to take down with cranberry pork loin, but missing a bit of the complexities of some of the other wines Russell Bevan is able to conjure up. Almost unfair when comparing this wine to, for example, his namesake Bevan or Wren Hop Pinots.
91+ with some possible upside if a little bottle age is able to integrate this one-hit wonder into something more layered. A nice wine to try nonetheless.

I was expecting a little more fruit up front. Fair amount of alcohol.
