So fucking fresh. Again one of the best Riesling I had so far. Lemon dominated. Bright in colour. At least 5-8 years. 99-100

  • Very elegant, lean, but persistent with still primary fruit aromas of pineapple, exotic fruits intermingled with tertiary aromas of petrol and slight beeswax. Would have rated it blind as much younger, because it is still so fresh with absolutely no sign of +20 years age. Highly recommended.

Again ultra fresh, still primary note. Yuzu, guave, no roasted aromas as sometimes you get in Kirchenstück. No heavy as you could expect for a Pfalz Riesling. I had this wine a few times more complex and precise. Anyway tremendous wine. 95

  • Spain Trip (w/ some Rioja gems): A wonderful Riesling with so much precision and tension. It showed some shy first aromas of an aged Riesling as well as the balance and softness that come with age but on the other hand it is still so young and vibrant. Amazing. This will have a very long life but is already drinking beautifully right now.

TN: Medium intense nose with sweet white fruit, some citrus fruit and hints wet stone. Much more exciting on the palate where it is so delicate and with so much tension, at first almist sparkling. Layers of aromas with fresh honey, petrol, wet slate, white fruit, sweet yellow fruit, rhubarb, some herbs, green apple. Towering acidity but perfectly integrated in the very soft structre. Very good length.

Decanting: Developed nicely in the glass. Some air helps here. I guess 1 hour+ should do the job.

  • Drank along a dinner at Mugariz. Needs a few moments in the glass to open up, but then bursting with delicate yet ultra-precise aromas of rubarb, lemon zest, a bit of smoke and a whiff of petrol. Over time more bee wax and honey. A citric and saline palate with sharp acidity and a long mineral finish. This has the potential for greatness no doubt, but did feel a bit pre-mature to drink now!
