  • Beautiful bouquet of charred lemon and dried herbs with honey and cream. Very well balanced alcohol with a depth of texture and long finish. Aging well.

  • Definitely on the sweeter side for a Chard as one would expect from this amazing producer of high quality Riesling. Butter, sugar, and some citrus on the nose. Just not my style of Chardonnay. That being said, it is growing on me. Revising up 1pt. from 87 as it has gotten better. Not far that the last white I had was an insane White Burgundy!!

  • Very light gold in color. You can tell this is a classic Finger Lakes nose. If I were having this blind I would say Riesling without a doubt. Not surprising as this Chard has massive Riesling characteristics as it comes from quite possibly the best Riesling maker in the US. Not bad at all but not a Chard in my mind.

  • This wine is clear and is medium yellow. The nose is clean with no faults. The aromas are citrus and tropical fruits. Very fresh and moderate intensity. The body is medium- with a nice mouthfeel. The partial neutral oak aging creates a rounded structure. The wine is really smooth, and is a very pleasant experience to drink. The flavors are lemon, also a lemon curd, tropical fruits, and a little pear. This finish is medium. The wine is well made and is has a nice balance to it. Very easy wine to enjoy.

  • Honeymoon in the Finger Lakes; 10/17/2016-10/20/2016 (FLX, New York, USA): Tasted at the winery. Bright and clean leading to a vanilla, somewhat toasty finish. Nice, but I am wondering how "neutral" the "neutral barrels" were. Seems a victim of a low-concentration '14 vintage at this estate. Even so, "very good," 86/100, but probably better in the '15 vintage.
