Cabernet Franc. France. Loire Valley, Anjou-Saumur, Anjou. Opaque Purple color. Delicate pepper, berry aroma. Medium body, pleasant noticeably earthy/floral with touch of spice (cinnamon/pepper maybe). It's balanced nicely with sufficient acidity and a rounded tannin finish. A satisfying polish leathery texture and short finish. Because of the earthy floral, perhaps it's not as accessible to your red wine drinker looking for the standard red wine. But, it's a great exploratory red wine if you never had Cabernet Franc on its own -- versus blended with other varieties -- and looking to try something different.

Interesting. Cabernet Franc notes dominate, but the ten percent Grolleau also makes its mark, with pepper and mineral ores accents. Rustic, grippy, and stalwart.

Perfumed and interesting. Impressive tension and structure. A pleasant kiss of brett underlies the wine's earth and mineral laden substance.

Consistent with my note from 6/2016. Nice mid-week wine with tobacco / herbal notes growing with airtime. 90+
Would buy again.
