Still going strong at age 43. Fair mousse, especially for its age, with some large bubbles and not much persistence. Still , there is enough carbonation to make this lively enough on the palate.
Oxidative notes dominate, with breadiness and just enough citrusy acidity to keep it lively for its age. Think of a toasted almond sandwich on toasted brioche, with a smear of lemon curd. Paired great with paella. Worth your attention By no means over the hill. I would say it easily can go to 2030.

Surely some will say past prime and a poor vintage at that but this was a beauty to be savored and enjoyed. A slight psst when the bottle was opened. Cork remained intact (there was some concern as the foil and rusted cage did not give the impression that this bottle had been cellared well).
Fortunately, acidity was very apparent. Nose was creamy, yeasty and oxidized reminiscent of a toffee sherry, crème brûlée. Palate consistent with nose although off dry almost demi-sec.
Linear over the course of the night - the development has already fully been completed. Very consistent with Cailles and Sirpatoo’s tasting notes.
Drank as aperitif in antique coup glasses. Highlight of the night for me.

(Moët & Chandon Champagne Cuvée Dom Pérignon) From magnum - light medium golden yellow color with abundant, steady, very tiny bubbles; appealing, maturing, light sauteed onion nose; focused, very tasty, youthful, tart apple, mineral chalk palate; long finish 93+ points

Oxidative and rich. Taking orangish hue. Still quite drinkable.

A little passed it’s prime. Old sherried flavors. Also did the 1969 Dom Perignon this weekend which was a little better
