  • Floral, delicate nose. High acidity, grainy tannins, but not too much. Surprisingly lightweight for a syrah. Cherries. Something mineral? Wert stone, perhaps? Quite short and not lots of complexity, but good balance.

  • Cherries, forest and pepper on the nose. Somewhat tart, grainy tannins. Fruity, black fruits and tart cherries, not very ripe. Promising, I like the acidity and the underripe character. But it is a bit mute at this stage. I'll wait a couple of years before opening the next bottle.

  • The nose offers a very good expression of cool-vintage granite syrah. Tastewise it is fresh and shiny if a bit angular and also quite short at this early stage - perhaps an effect of filtering and free so2 - so let's hope it will sort itself out in a few years.

  • Bof.

  • 1st bottle flawed. 2nd bottle was decanted and then followed for about 2 hours. Nose was dominated by green pepper and some dark berries. This continued along with some spice in the mouth. Quite juicy ut with firm tannin grip. Medium plus finish. Did not win me over, felt it was lacking some carachter at the moment. I will keep my remaining two bottles fore some years and hope for the best.
