  having recently had the 2010, i find this 2012 a little more open and direct. bouquet is bold and juicy, more dark fruited, with spice, tobacco and vanilla. palate is very supple, dark berry fruit, nice herbal and green flavours mid palate add depth. finishes with a slight bitter almond note. very approachable, very easy to sip. good with cheese and hearty protein.

  Balanced, enjoyable, paired well with seared steaks and baked potatoes with bacon bits. Does not seem to improve with age but does not suffer the pangs of time either. Just enjoy it.

  Received a partial bottle
  Bordeaux-inspired blend; exact composition varies with vintage.
  2012: Cabernet Sauvignon- 84%; Merlot - 6%; Cabernet Franc - 6%; Malbec - 2%; Petit Verdot - 2%

  Had a sip from a partial bottle received from my Oenophile neighbor. Another excellent wine from a California winery I'm not familiar with (How Does he find these?). Dark, almost inky red in the glass. Dark red fruit and chocolate on the nose. Blackberry and Plum on the palate along with hints of tobacco and dried herbs. Wine was smooth with a nice round mouth feel. Moderate tannins give a slight fuzzy tooth feel on the lingering finish. An Elegant wine. Spouse endorsed.
