  • Wonderful dinner w Doug, Debby and friends...they have a nice batch of Saintsbury in their cellar, this one picked by Debbie. PnP, drank over 30 minutes

ruby color, mildly cloudy. Nose showing cherry, spice, cinnamon, garrigue (?). Plate was expressive - raspberry, plum, baking spice and earth notes. Tannins still present but starting to soften. Medium weight, elegant mouthfeel.

In a really nice spot, this may be described as fruit forward but not heavy at all. Very nice red to start the evening. Would try to give a longer decant than we afforded it if venue allows
