  • people should have read the fine print from Doon...."tuck this away and see what develops"....i did--and it transformed into a massive fruit bomb, unctuous and able to stand ground with many, many ausleses first growth Germans. I could blind taste you with this and knock you off your feet....nothing here in NY or Aus. could ever come close, only much better Germans. Best $9 gamble done. One must be familiar and like the classic auslese and above wines to realize the miracle here...great balance: acid sufficient and proudly there to balance a huge
flow of wild and varying flavors evolving in glass over 3 hours. Shudda, wudda, cudda,........DID!! wow!!!

  • Really impressive; like a german spatlese. The sweetness hits you hard, but then a bright acidity emerges. Finish has a bit of petrol interesting but not overpowering. I was really impressed by this effort.

  • Sweet, sweet, sweet...almost to the point of being unbalanced.

  • Extremely sweet with a syrupy texture. Will retaste. OK, preserved and restasted. Straw colored wine. Apples and honey aromas and palate. Notes of petrol and peach, but the apple and honey predominate. Have with very spicy food for best effect. Off-dry, in a completely different style than the Pacific Rim Dry Riesling.

  • Has to be a contender for one of the most cringe inducing names I've encountered (and believe me, living in Australia I see plenty!). Had a nose of lime, lychee, slate, grapefruit and pear. Palate shows good length but needs some additional acid in order to avoid the sweetness dominating and to find balance.
