Deep, dark, rich, plush BUT not at all in the usual Aussie way of making such a wine. Tasted ages ago, so detailed memories are dim, but it was a delicious wine with both primary and plenty of tertiary elements coming through.

Ripe, intense and pretty distinctive. Shows smoky, inky character along with hints of meat and smoke. Really interesting and European for a VA shiraz. Juicy and rich, very tasty with a steak.

This has purity, sense of place. Pyrenees fruit at its best, wild and sour cherry, blue plum dominate a vortex of lily and violet petals, cinnamon, nutmeg, just cracked white and black pepper. Palate is still shy, as expected. Shiny texture encased by a ballet of acidity and vibrant tannins. Length will improve with age, definitely. Charming and so wild. Great effort!

Bottle breathed 3hrs and it really opened up, mid to full body with a lot of black fruits, nice acidity and fine tannins, ready to drink.
