Slightly macerated orange wine. Tannins are almost unnoticeable.
The wine is fruit driven Orange peel, grapefruit, yellow peach, wood. Feels like there is a touch of residual sugar. For me the fruit opulence is almost too dominant, I would like to see a bit more freshness instead.
3rd day update: Lovely aromatics. The wine feels more fresh and focused. Less superficially attractive. Very nice.
Drink now.
Overall: Very approchable orange wine for the general public.

Orange colour with slightly pink tint. Aromas of oranges, apricots, bruised apples, white pepper, gravel dust. Good acidity and silky tannins. Elegant! Versatile with food and generally delicious. A brilliant example of just how good "natural", skin-contact Pinot Gris can be.

Exotic and interesting, but wholly pleasant. Deep gold. Wild nose that reminds me of lambic beers (which are fermented with "natural yeast," aka brettanomyces). Apple juice and lychees with barnyard and seabreeze. I like the way the oak rounds this out. I also like the light tannic touch from extended maceration. Reminiscent of vin jaune on the palate. Long finish with minerals and apple skin. I admire the winemaking because the wildness seems controlled and the end result has excellent balance and sophistication.
