((opened for 24 hours)) color: pellucid purple velvet; nose: Willy Wonka's candy shop - cherry, rhubarb, strawberry, and celery; taste: medium-bodied mouth feel, fruity strawberry taste and a slightly-less-than-ripe vegetal tang, smooth medium-length finish with notes of cola and strawberry; overall: pleasant and modern -- but suffers from a tries-too-hard-to-look-grown-up artificial style, probably better with grilled food (cedar-planked salmon, lightly-marinated pork tenderloin?) than by itself.

Of all the red wine offerings from Blackstone, I think they do the best with Pinot Noir. This is probably as good as any they have produced. The color is very magenta, quite clear. The nose is quite intense candied cherry and strawberry with mushroom farm, cloves and oak chips. The fruit does not quite live up to the nose but is adequate and serviceable maraschino cherry, red raspberry and a touch of cranberry. The oak brings a mild taste of chocolate. Silky little youngish tannins. With a little more depth and concentration this one could secure a few more points.

Tres bon jus. Tout en douceur. Supporte bien les mets salés mais pas sucré.
Beaucoup de fruits
