Big, bold Cabernet profile. Red and black fruits, charcoal and graphite, with a dusty, slightly chalky finish. Tannins have dried out at this point, smooth, refined texture, but slightly muted finish. Overall, very enjoyable wine but probably a bit overpriced at $60; $45-50 is probably a more reasonable range, but I acknowledge some premium may be necessary for 100% Red Mountain fruit. At a super premium price point, I'd lean towards Upchurch for a more consistently strong showing.
