Highly perfumed and extremely pretty Beze. A lovely nose of blue and black fruits trimmed with floral spice. It is sweet, dense and full, with latent power and a light on its feet feel. Balance is extraordinary and it has length to burn.

2015 Bruno Clair Whites and Reds (Plus One Older Treat) (Dig Wines, San Francisco): Medium center, lighter rim. Lovely, wafting aromas of rose, earth, and muddled red fruit. There is a dark cherry note at its core. Incredibly graceful, elegant wine where I never would have guessed a riper vintage had it been served blind. Full of class, but I have to ask, $600 worth?
This was just amazing. Stylish, perfumed nose. On the palate, punchy and subtle at the same time, flitting back and forth between energetic and round. Very smooth finish, which doesn't show the tannin at all. Beautifully round.

Tasting Gevrey Chambertin 2015 in Burgundy (Roi Chambertin, Gevrey Chambertin): From the get go, I got a touch of overripe notes on the nose, recalling (even) 2003. But the velvet texture and opulence on the palate was gorgeous. Ripe dark cherry notes throughout, evident structure, albeit with just a slightly alcoholic aspect on the finish, but this could be because of the rather warm room temperature. Give it time in bottle, to shed its "baby fat" I suppose. Loads of dry extract and substance. Very good juice!

Burgundy 2015 en primeur (London): Take CSJ and add more concentration and power. More sweetness in the fruit as well. Long lingering finish. 92-94p
