Community Tasting Notes (1)

  • To me this was the best sweet wine that ever existed. I bought many cases until the supply was gone or was soured. For many years I sampled for something close to this taste. Sadly I never experienced another. The 1996, 1997, 1998, etc. were rubbish by comparison. It was something about the 1995 season where the Napa grapes produced an extreme amount of sugar at a very cool temperature. This was more than a sweet wine or desert wine. It was a wine with many different stages of sensations such as sweet, cool, dry, warm, nose, etc. Those were the good old days.
