{screwcap, 14%} Mid yellow. Youthful, buttery-smelling chardonnay in the classic new-world mould. The palate is medium/full-bodied, pumped-up with plenty of classy, cedary and spicy oak, leaving the peachy white fruit rather in the background. Maybe doesn’t taste quite so oaky as you might fear though. There’s just enough acid to keep things fresh and lively, helped by very even balance of flavours along the tongue. The finish is just medium-bodied; this is a competent chardonnay for easy drinking over 2-3 years.
