  • Warm fruit compote and vanilla on the nose. Cooked pears and grilled pineapple and creme brûlée on the palate. Still enough acid to cleanse palate. Long wonderful finish. Paired perfectly with lobster stuffed ravioli in olive oil and parmigiana reggiano.

  • This wine, carrying the Recherché Reserve designation, was 100% barrel fermented (50% new oak, 50% second-use barrels). It was then aged 12 months sur lie prior to bottling. Medium yellow-gold in color, it flaunts ripe pear, brioche, tropical fruit and vanilla aromas. On the palate, it is medium-bodied, seamlessly alcoholic (14.1%) and fairly fresh, yet concurrently has a creamy texture and a substantial component of toasted oak. The flavors mirror the nose and stay solid in the middle. Medium-to-long and smooth on the finish, this is a quality offering which, while very good, would have been better with a little less oak. Drink now-2018.
