Not recognizable as a ChdP wine. Bit of a general, standard Chapourtier. Not bad but expected something else. Especially considering its age. Tasted like a much younger wine.

Monthly Tuesday group #002: Châteauneuf du Pape (By MN): The bouquet is youthful and a bit lactic with herbs and spices like clove and a touch of barnyard. The same impressions on the palate, a touch of sweetness and metal as well. Good acidity and somewhat green tannin. Ok wine. 87 for today.
