World's Greatest, Hong Kong - Night I (Bo Innovation): [Magnum] While those nose is fresh and lively, it is both darker and less expressive than the ‘59. Honeyed. The palate yellow and red apple and is quite lively with rich flavour and texture. Nutty. Nuanced. A sort of middle child in the context. Very good.

We had the 73 Krug along side the 73 Collection. Both are insanely good champagnes. Initially the Collection outpaced the vintage. But as is typical with good provenance old bottles, after a while the vintage cruised past its sibling, at least for me. That wasn't unanimous, and a slight majority favored the Collection up to the end.

Dry must, nuttiness, vanilla, sweet spice, light floral and a background steeliness on the nose. Flan on the palate with related caramel and woody flavors. Good acidity and somewhat dry on the finish. A fantastic wine that was only slightly outperformed by the 73 regular release in my opinion. Paired with vegetable vol au vent.

Very good today, if not outstanding like it can be. Held up well over the four hours we lingered.
