Color: deep red with little translucency. Nose: light red fruit and orange citrus. Flavor: light, tart red fruits - slight citrus again added with some meatiness (pork?) - and some slate minerality on the front. No notable oak, no real notable tannins, and some decent overall acidity. The finish is crisp, fresh, and short - brief linger. Light bodied.
Light, enjoyable - very boujolais - medium shelf quality. Would not recommend sitting on this - this style is meant to be drank young - in fact, surprised that this vintage is as good as it is given the age. Definitely drink now. Would like to try a '15 vintage. Also, decant if you are of a mind. Qualities improve slightly, and tannins make a bit more of a presence on the tongue.

Light cassis and strawberry aroma coupled with a sligthly acetic edge. Short, one dimensional finish

For the $8 price point I really enjoyed this wine. It was great with our grilled pizza. Light, drinkable right away, and good value. Perfect.
