Community Tasting Notes (8) Avg Score: 92.8 points

  • Not the greatest vintage. A bit harsh and green, even on night two when the fruit had faded somewhat.

  • A tad higher from the previous score. The additional bottle time has smoothed out the (few) rough edges from a few years back.

    Previous note:

As others have noted, this is from a cool vintage. Nose a bit muted even with a one hour decant. Some spice, dark blue/black fruits. Good acidity and tannins have integrated nicely. I think this wine could either use a longer decant or just a few more years in the bottle. Definitely a wine for the long haul.

  • Fabulous Mothers Day wine and paired well with Surf & Turf. This is big and bold with lush fruit. Nose is bright red fruit, though a little candied. Palate is dripping with dark chocolate, cinnamon spice and a hint of clove. Perhaps not as refined as my previous bottle 4 months ago, but still a treasure to drink.

  • I wasn't expecting this to be as great as it was based on the vintage, the professional critics and the limnited CT ratings. This was fabulous in my opinion. Lush dark fruits and smooth textures. this may not be the most complex Lorraine, but the drinkability factor is incredible.
