Time to pull the cork on my sole remaining bottle of wine in this class of sweetness, to expensive these days though I understand why. A melange of tropical fruits mangoes etc lovely full mouthful and long lasting on the palete, the acidity was just the job to cut through a rather delicious Beaufort cheese at Christmas.

From 375ml tasted next to 1979 Schloß Groenesteyn Gräfenberg Riesling Eiswein-BA. Perfumed and rich on the nose - tropical fruit, crushed stones, flowers, honey, herbs. On the palate dense and concentrated with lots of power and richness of fruit. Lots of acidity as well, so no sense of cloying or heaviness at all. Nice minerality towards the finish adding complexity. Very persistent. Fantastic! 96-98
