Showing a deep ruby at the core with a light ruby leading to a clear rim at the edge of the glass. Scents of earth, clay, granite, anise, and a very faint smokiness that eclipses vibrant red fruits. In the mouth there are lush strawberries, cranberries, pomegranate, and a bright acidity that leads into a lingering hint of oak and cement dust. While not the same wine I remember from a few months ago this still pushes the envelope and causes me to think and search for what is in the glass...and for a $24 wine I'm impressed.

On the nose this has the typical Musar floral, funk, granite/cement notes. In the glass this wine shows a lovely light ruby color with a hint of bricking at the edge. In the mouth this wine is smooth, light bodied, with well integrated tannin, acid, and fruit components that linger delicately on the palate. For the money this is one heck of a bargain. It's as tasty as the Rouge...just not quite as complex.

No formal note. Sensational and mature. Different to ch. musar but just as special.
Drink or hold

A particularly nice bottle that comes very close to the quality of Musar.
