  • 13,5% alcohol.

Intense and quite deep lemon yellow color, something akin to a neon yellow dishwashing liquid. Surprisingly vegetal nose with vegetal aromas of pumpkin, pickled vegetables, some sweeter honeyed tones, a little bit of mineral stone dust character and a grassy hint of herbal greenness. As the wine opens, it turns toward sweeter and richer tones. The wine is medium-bodied, ripe and somewhat concentrated on the palate with flavors of exotic spices, chopped almonds, some stone dust minerality, a little bit of honeydew melon, light herbal bitterness and a hint of smoke. The wine feels like it is only medium in acidity, but the bitterness seems to lend some sense of structure to the wine. The finish is lively, bright and somewhat bitter with medium-long flavors of honeydew melon, some crushed seashells, a little bit of wet stones and a hint of grassy greenness.

A drinkable and surprisingly grassy Greco that shows some richness and sense of concentration, but overall the wine seemed somewhat light and underwhelming for its size. I wonder if the wine had suffered from aging and if it would've performed better when it was younger - after all, Greco is really not a variety known for its capability to age. Not bad in any way, but still something of a disappointment.
