Winery tasting. We really enjoyed this, but quite honestly, I liked the 2011 Belle Cousine (Meritage) much better. This is a more feminine style Cabernet displaying more finesse, subtlety, and balance than the power associated with most higher end, small production Cabs. Aroma and flavor profile revealed spicy cassis, blackberry, dark cherry, ripe plum and some herbs. Tannins and oak seem well integrated with some acidity to provide balance. Nice moderate finish.

overall a subtle cab with detected notes of blackberry, coffee and tobacco. should continue to improve depth and complexity in cellar
