Lemon gold colour. Rich bouquet of lemon pith, yellow apples, toasted butter, and blanched almonds. Medium-full mouthfeel with watery acidity cutting through some residual sugar. Tastes of tart apples, buttered popcorn, with an edge of yeast and herb bitterness. Pairs with risottos or chicken with cream sauce.

Passover at friends (Val and Rons): Golden in color. The nose has some grapefruit. Some oak but terribly obtrusive. On the palate, more tropical fruits. OK acidity. Still some oak but more vanilla than fresh cut. Nice wine for around $10.

Acidic on the nose - slight lemon but very slight
High acidity very sharp three quarters of the way into the palate
