  • Hmmmm… so good. I was nervous when time came opening this 38 years old bottle as cock was smooth offering no resistance and soft.. first thought the wine was likely ruined. At opening felt like water and alcool and not much personality and feared for the worst. Let it breath in a carat for 1:30 and for the best for an amazing surprise. One of the best wine I had in the last six months. Such a pleasant surprise

  • Definitely had some bottle variation between this one and the last bottle. This bottle had much more weight and depth. Very similar flavor profile to the 2005 consumed alongside, but this one was much more elegant and soft. Have the think this one is at its peak

  • Very interesting wine. Even the sommelier said they would have guess burgundy pinot if this had been tasted blind. Forest floor, mushroom and cherry on the nose. Bright red fruits on the palate. Medium length finish. Tannins have fully integrated and then some but the acid has kept this wine youthful. Have one more- I'd like to try a longer decant to see how it impacts the wine(with this on we opened at the restaurant, right into decanter-waited and hour and finished by around hour 2).

  • Beautiful rustic Pomerol. A lot of fruit and supple. Now at its peak.
