Slightly disappointed with this wine. For me it is not balanced enough (anymore?), with too high alcohol vs. the structure and acidity the wine offers.
Medium ruby red in color with medium intensity aroma’s on the nose of iodide, leaves, dusty cherry, coffee and cranberry. Acidity is medium- with low tannins and high alcohol, leading to full bodied wine. Medium intensity flavor profile with cherry and forest leaves on day 1 and much deeper and intenser flavors on day 2 of dark cherries, plum and eucalyptus. Medium+ finish. 90/91

Russk. Brad brought to Villagio. Blind, my first thought was Toro, with heat (15%ABV), tar, bitterness, and no jam. Nose did not scream Spanish, maybe b/c they use French oak.

Good window. Tannins well integrated, primary fruit still present, balanced acidity. Drinks well now.

This was better than the previous bottle, but still should be drunk in one go.
