  • I guess this wine is somewhat of a unicorn (3 bottles in cellar tracker) and I can see why, as it was crazy good! Cork was in great shape and poured a deep purple color with almost no bricking at all. And a lovely nose of red fruits and cinnamon. On the palate this is literally gushing with bing cherries and just waves of acidity. Plenty of fruit but it is REALLY light on its feet because of the acidity. Honestly, I think you'd have a hard time clocking this as a Petite Sirah blind. Maybe a higher-acid, middle aged cab from a classic producer? There's still a little tannic bite on the finish but not enough to be distracting - its very well integrated. A tremendous effort and a pleasure to drink. I think this would turn a LOT of heads from the people who think that petite sirah does not evolve with age. Wish I had more!

  • PLUMS, PRUNES, AND MINT IN THE NOSE. DEEP FRUIT FLAVOR. MEDIUM LENGTH FINISH.
