2015 Villa d’Este Wine Symposium - Kelly and Kevin's excellent adventure; 11/3/2015-11/9/2015 (Villa D’este, Lake Como): A unicorn wine. According to Antonio, the vineyard was sold to Giacosa. Beautiful mature Barolo nose not unlike Giacosa nose, decadent red fruits, dry cherry, raisin, sous bois, wet autumn forest floor, a hint of balsamico, leather and tar. Perfectly integrated palate, decadent yet precise, sweet red fruit driven palate impression, bright acidity and lovely long finish. Like drinking a great old Burgundy from an unfamiliar producer, incredible experience.
